The family of the late Sister Mary Dee Ellis IHM ’91 has established a Memorial Scholarship, honoring her memory with the intent of inspiring others to carry on her commitment to Catholic education. The very generous scholarship of $10,000 for a rising Immaculata Junior for senior year tuition will be awarded each spring to a selected student for the next 10 years. To qualify, one must reflect the values and example of Sister Mary Dee, with a particular emphasis on the unique elements of her character. All who knew her valued her kindness, compassion, and thoughtfulness and admired her strong faith commitment, dedication to service, especially to the poor, and her self-effacing, peaceful, and happy temperament.

Honoring the memory of Sister Mary Dee Ellis, ICS ’87, IHS ’91, with the intent of inspiring others to carry on her commitment to Catholic education and selfless service. #GiveThanksTuesday celebrates the family of Mary Dee and their annual award of the Sister Mary Dee Ellis Memorial Scholarship to a current senior at Immaculata, Jean Carlo Picado ‘21.

Congratulations Jean Carlo!

Spartan Pillar: SCHOLARSHIP

Bishop Checchio, Msgr. Brennan, and the Immaculata community were blessed to honor John and Millie Rasweiler for their faith-filled commitment and sacrifice to Catholic education. This year alone, their generous contributions have already enhanced the school's STEM course offerings and will continue to strengthen the academic excellence at Immaculata High School.

Beginning with a prayer of thanksgiving from Bishop Checchio, retired Principal Jean Kline presented the Rasweilers with a plaque, dedicating the new STEM Resource Lab in their names. Students and faculty then provided demonstrations of the new equipment being used throughout the Science and Math departments.
