Media Center & Research Resources

Media CenterThe Immaculata High School Media Center functions as an integral part of the total educational program. The purpose of the program is to facilitate and expedite the realization and achievement of a quality education by each student.

The Media Center is available for use as a quiet area for writing, research, reading, and other appropriate activities. Collaboration and group study activities may take place in the facility. Everyone must follow all school guidelines for appropriate behavior as outlined in the Student Handbook in order to ensure that everyone may take advantage of the opportunity to work and study in quiet surroundings.

Immaculata High School Media Center is open daily from 7:15 AM to 3:15 PM during full school days.

Immaculata High School is dedicated to providing all students with the educational foundation necessary to succeed in school and in life. To ensure your child’s success, the IHS Media Center has teamed up with the Somerset County Library. The County Library will be issuing each student a library card that will allow students to access any library in Somerset County. The advantages of being a library member are endless. The students will be able to check out books, eBooks and utilize the numerous educational databases at any time either online or at the library facility.

Because these databases will be used in classes throughout the school, every student is required to be a member of the Somerset County Library System in order to access them.

In order to ensure that every student has access to the Somerset County Library, we ask that everyone fill out the an application to apply for the card. Please click on the SCL link to download the application form to apply for a Somerset County Library card.

We want to offer your child every opportunity to succeed, and we’ll use all the resources available to us to help our students achieve. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Marrosu at

You must have a valid Somerset County Library card to access the databases listed below. You will need the Barcode # on the back of your SCL card and a PIN # (last four digits of the phone number you supplied on the application, unless you have set it to something else).
