Angelo Parenti '85

Angelo Parenti was a phenomenal athlete at I.H.S. in the mid 1980’s. As a basketball player, he averaged 22 points per game in his senior year and was an outstanding defensive player and one of the team’s assist leaders. He made the All-County and All-Central Jersey 1st teams in all local newspapers and was the Home News Somerset County Player of the year. He also was a Star-Ledger first team All-Parochial selection and was instrumental in winning the County Tournament as well.

In football, Angelo was an outstanding kicker with seven field goals, one of which was 48 yards. He was an All-County 1st Team selection as a kicker in all local newspapers as well.

In baseball, Angelo had a .426 batting average including 11 home runs and 33 RBI’s. Though he was known as a stellar defensive player at third base, he pitched five games winning all five. Angelo was selected for the first Team All-County in all local newspapers, Courier-News All Central Jersey and second team All-Parochial by the Star-Ledger. Angelo is certainly regarded as one of the best 3 sport performers in the history of Immaculata High School athletics.
