Peter Di Prospero

Senior Peter Di Prospero was recently recognized as a Finalist at the 25th Annual Temple University Derek Freese Youth Media Film Festival for a film on which he was cinematographer, called “A Sky Behind the Clouds.”

Sponsored by Temple University’s Department of Film and Media Arts, this festival offers young filmmakers (ages 12 through 18) in the Mid-Atlantic region, an opportunity to screen their work for their peers and film professionals and to compete for awards in many different categories. “A Sky Behind the Clouds” is about a young high schooler dealing with the mental and social repercussions of the global pandemic. “As cinematographer, Peter’s attention to the nuances of shot composition and lighting to convey key narrative moments in the scenes, operate at a very high conceptual and artistic level in order to complement the ideas from the script,” noted his instructor Joe DeVito ‘98. In addition to being a Finalist, the film also received an award for Best Editing. We are all very proud to acknowledge and congratulate Peter on his success!

Spartan Proud!
