Revelations Retreat On Campus

Recently, 28 students created history by having our annual Revelations Retreat at Immaculata High School. The retreat, which is normally held at a retreat house off-campus, was led by eight juniors who worked for months to plan an enriching and faith-filled experience for 20 freshmen and sophomores. On Saturday and Sunday, within the classrooms and media center, there were witness talks, small group sessions, and prayer services. The students were able to receive the gift of Reconciliation and celebrate Mass together in our school’s Chapel. We also sang, danced, and played games in the gym and enjoyed food and fellowship in the cafeteria! This year, a new tradition started with a scavenger hunt where the students journeyed through the main building working together to figure out clues that led them to sign white t-shirts. These shirts were then worn by the students to unify them and remind them of their experience for years to come. Although the location was different the result was the same! One participant said, “I came out of the retreat feeling much happier, with a better connection to God and I 100% want to do this again!” All of the students, leaders, and participants left the weekend with a Zeal for Christ and the renewed drive to live the retreat’s theme: Keep Chasing Who You Are!
